I updated. Sort of. All I did was fix a lot of the links to work with my new domain. I don't know how many more updates to expect any time soon, as I'm lazy, but maybe you'll actually see something out of me in the near future. Who knows.
10:13pm Sunday, November 10, 2002
Okay, so I finally updated. Hooray. I got nZero/Prion's page up to date.
Also, as you may have noticed, I've been quietly updating other things for a while. I've had a Song of the Moment section up for quite a while, and it now has about 7 songs in it, from 7 very seperate moments. Listen to them and enjoy. Also take note that since the Song of the Moment is the easiest thing to update, I'll be doing it regularly. Word.
9:07pm Tuesday, August 27, 2002I'm sure you've all heard that crime doesn't pay. Well, neither does procrastination--this update proves it--five months, and all I've got to show for it is one page. It started with uploading a large file and various programs not letting me upload anymore, followed by being swamped with things to add to the site, followed by hating Notepad, followed by being swamped some more, followed by sequencing some new things and making some new MP3's and just not bothering to update anything more than my own page, followed by....you name it. A small update has finally arrived, though, and here it is. Rejoice.
Added Susan Carrière. She's a great sequencer, who sequenced some of my favorite MIDI's, and this update was long overdue. No MIDI site should be without her work.
9:07pm Friday, March 15, 2002Added my Super Metroid MIDI's.
Added a new Castlevania MIDI to the VG MIDI's section.
Woops! Forgot to link to two of Jorge Fuentes's MP3's. Fixed that.
11:14pm Thursday, March 14, 2002Added three new MIDI's to the VG MIDI's section.
Added an MP3 of Kai's "Radical Dreamers (Angelic Mix)" to the VG MIDI's section.
Added an MP3 for Sinking Old Sanctuary and a MIDI of Calling From Heaven to Jorge Fuentes's page.
Did a major update to Tony Thai's page.
Added two more MIDI's to the VG MIDI's section.
Did a major update to my section, adding "AWE" and "Live" versions of MIDI's. Note that "AWE" versions should sound good on any AWE-compatible card, such as Soundblaster AWE32, AWE64, SB Live, etc., while "Live" versions are intended for an AWE-compatible card featuring Creative's 4MB soundfont (which comes with the SB Live and AWE64 Gold). The reason I have "Live" versions is because some of the MIDI's were originally intended only for that soundfont, so I uploaded the original versions (such as the ones on vgmusic.com) and labeled them as "Live". The "AWE" ones are labeled as such because of the AWE cards' panning "feature", so both those and the "Live" ones use panning differently from the GM versions.
Added a few Alluro95 MIDI's, now represented as being MIDI's. Also applied this new icon to the VG MIDI's page.
Added the best Final Fantasy Battle MIDI ever. You'd better love it or...or...NOT!
2:30am Thursday, March 14, 2002After coming to the harsh realization that I, in fact, am not the center of the universe, I've reorganized the site so that my MIDI's are now just another section of the site, and no longer the main focus. I also changed my page to take the silly blue table off the bottom, and moved my original compositions to the Misc. Sequences section. Changed the front page text, changed the sidebar and switched some links around, and just made it more organized. Everything makes sense now. Congratulate me.
Adjusted my Clockwork Mansion and Picture of the Ghost Ship MIDI's and reuploaded them.
9:12pm Tuesday, March 12, 2002Added Batman Stage 4 to Jorge Fuentes's section. Whee.
Added a couple new VG MIDI's: CV3's "Aqarius" and Final Fantasy's Conrnelia Castle.
6:58pm Monday, March 11, 2002Added a couple new MIDI's to the VG MIDI's section. Rolf.
4:30am Monday, March 11, 2002Nothing major today. Added a few classic anonymous Castlevania III tracks to the VG MIDI's section. Enjoy.
10:21pm Saturday, March 9, 2002Nomadboy (that being me) has moved the site again. I kept the xrs.net URL as a forwarding address, but the site is now fully hosted on VGMIDI. I've also removed the direct link to the Forum since it made you log in and booted you back to the Internet Cafe. So, if you want to talk on the forum, just go to the Cafe in the sidebar and scroll down to my board.
Added Columns III MIDI to the VGMIDI's section.
Added Tony Thai to the side bar.
Added the Weirdness section.
9:44pm Firday, March 8, 2002Did a major overhaul on the Misc VG MIDI's page and fixed some broken links on nZero/Prion's page. This site rules and you know it.
Added Mp3's to Jorge Fuentes's page.
Added MP3's to the Music section, biatch.
Added MIDI's and MP3's to the Misc. section, by RPGFan/Locke.
Added a Message Board hosted by Digital Red, run by the same guy who hosts this very site. Thanks, Red!
1:08am Friday, March 8, 2002So far today, I've updated nZero/Prion's page to reflect more recent MIDI's he's done and more recent versions of his MP3's. I also added some extras last night to the Miscelaneous section, those being a MIDI by Tsu Ryu and a few by Mark Jansen. Check them out. More to come tonight, hopefully (including some cosmetic changes, whee).
Also added Tony Thai to the VG MIDI's page until I upload enough of his work to merit him his own page.
Also added a page for Daniel Genz. Yay! Also added some new Castlevania Bloodlines MIDI's to the VG MIDI's section.
2:40am Thursday, March 7, 2002Didn't do much this time, unfortunately. For those who care, I hadn't updated because I had to format my hard drive and lost the FTP login info. Doh.
Added some MIDI's by me, updated my VG MP3's, and added to/updated Pongball's page, as well as adding some Pong-composed MIDI's to the Misc section. More to come.
3:57am Monday, August 20, 2001Actually, I did quite a bit this time, but not much of it shows. I did some cosmetic work (which does show), and did a lot of emailing and file shifting. Also, I worked out more of the bugs and got the site looking better yet again (as per usual lately). More to come, as always!
Also, I added a MIDI to the new Misc. VG MIDI section, go listen! Good night.
3:03am Sunday, August 19, 2001Added Jorge Fuentes's new Moon Fight MIDI to his page. Working on adding Daniel Genz, since I just got the okay from him. That should be done tomorrow or the next day.
Also added my latest MIDI, the Last Boss music from Zelda 4, to the Music page and to my MIDI zip.
7:07pm Friday, August 17, 2001Added Jarel Jones! Yeeee. Emailed Daniel Genz, but haven't heard back from him yet, though I hope to soon! That's all for this update. Ta.
10:08pm Thursday, August 16, 2001Another update! Neato! This time, I added about half of Tom Kim's MIDI's, since he was always such a major influence in the way I sequence. It's a shame he doesn't have time to sequence anymore, I love hearing new work from him. Anyway, that's all for today, more will come in the next couple days, including Jarel Jones!
6:50pm Wednesday, August 15, 2001Wow, what an update. I added a HUGE number of MIDI's by Jorge Fuentes, a few by Alluro95, and.....moved the site! I might be moving it a few times, but it will stay at the http://purpleguppy.cjb.net address. Enjoy the semi-new layout and address!
Also, added the rest of nZero's MIDI's and fixed a few more mistakes/dead links. (9:18)
6:30pm Tuesday, August 7, 2001Yes, I'm alive. And so is the site again. I'm working on adding Jorge Fuentes and Jarel Jones (and maybe a few others), and I've added a new Wizards and Warriors 3 MIDI and updated the Wizard's Test MIDI from said game. More to come!
6:50am Wednesday, May 16, 2001I've been busy! I changed the sidebar a bit, added lots of ORIGINAL work to my page, and added an area for the original compositions I have from other sequencers. I only have 3 right now, but that will grow with time (I've got a few coming in soon already). Stay tuned for more changes soon!
8:30am Monday, May 14, 2001I doubt anyone has noticed, but I've been updating on and off for over a month now. The biggest update would have to be this one, though: I completely redesigned the layout, plus I added some other sequencers' work as a way to pay them homage. If the design looks familiar to anyone, it's a combination of a few other sites I go to regularly, with my own added touches and quirks. I hope you like it, and I hope you enjoy the new MIDI's as much as I do!
Added: Raiden Densetsu, "Lightning War" MP3 to my MIDI section.
